Cancer is a deadly disease that requires prolonged and expensive treatment. This is beyond the reach of ordinary people. Majority of the patients coming to us are from the poorest of the society (ours is the only voluntary sector Cancer hospital in the state of Kerala). Unlike in United States and Europe, there is no effective health insurance programs available in India for the masses. To help them, in Amala, about 33% of the income is utilized for providing free / subsidized treatment, drugs and food. In Cancer wards, 80 beds are maintained for this purpose. These services are open to all irrespective of caste and creed. We are planning to extend this facility to more and more deserving Cancer victims.

We always welcome financial help and assistance from people of genuine goodwill, charity and social concern around the world to provide free care to Cancer patients. Contributions of any nature, small or big will add a great value to our efforts to serve them. Such offerings are mainly used for providing: free hospital stay, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, Cancer surgery, diagnostic procedures, palliative care, food, additional drugs, transportation, etc. We seek assistance for equipping and enhancing our treatment and diagnostic facilities too. Also there are several sponsor based assistance programs organized by this institution such as: "sponsor a free Cancer bed", "sponsor an equipment", "Agape - a free meal program for Cancer patients," etc. Your valuable contributions may be credited to our account maintained with State Bank of India - SB Account No.C&I 1.
